Rhodar appoints commercial representative

Market leading asbestos abatement company, Rhodar, has appointed Steve Hannah as Commercial Representative to work within the company's expanding Sales and Marketing team.

Part of the Leeds-based Lexia Solutions Group, Rhodar provides asbestos management and removal services to both public and private sector organisations throughout the UK.

Steve makes the move to Rhodar with the key aim of driving business development and sales specifically within Yorkshire and the North East.

Working closely with Group Commercial Manager Darren Payne, Steve aims to grow the business in these regions, identifying and pursuing sales leads and co-ordinating all marketing activity.

Steve's previous role as Business Development Manager with Easy Heat .

- the heating and ventilation manufacturer - saw him managing national accounts such as npower and Travis Perkins and spotting new opportunities within the private and public sector.

More recently, Steve worked for land acquisition and planning permission experts, Plot of Gold , where he negotiated deals on a day-to-day basis working closely with estate agents, commercial property agents, solicitors and developers.

Commenting on his appointment, Steve said: "This is a great opportunity for me to progress my career in sales and business development".

Away from Rhodar, Steve is actively involved in local and regional sporting clubs and currently captains the Halifax Sunday Football League Team, The Holywell Inn.
