RIBA launches competition for scholarships to new MBA at Manchester Business School.

The RIBA Practice Department, in partnership with Manchester Business School Worldwide (MBSW), is offering a 50% scholarship to a RIBA graduate or chartered member for the School's MBA for Construction Executives.

This is a unique MBA programme developed in partnership with CITB- ConstructionSkills and through consultation with the leading industry bodies, and is designed to appeal to managers within all construction disciplines, from architecture and engineering through to managing the process.

The programme will equip managers with the skills to address the challenges facing the construction industry whilst retaining the broad management focus that defines an MBA.

MBSW is the distance-learning arm of Manchester Business School.

The scholarship, worth over GBP6000, will be awarded by MBSW through a competition in which applicants will be required to submit an electronic presentation based on a case study provided to them.

The scholarship is for entry to the course in January 2006 and entries have to be in by Wednesday 14 December 2005.

MBSW academics and representatives of RIBA Practice will assess competition entries, and the winner will be informed by 21 December 2005.

The MBA for Construction Executives offers:.

* Multi-disciplinary/collaboration with other professions.

* Format of distance learning and face to face - only such course in UK .

* An internationally renowned faculty.

* Endorsed by industry.

* MBA accreditations (AACSB, AMBA, EQUIS) - a top MBA.

* Developed in tandem with CITB-ConstructionSkills .

* A project developed with student's company, providing sponsors with a practical Return on Investment.
