H4 Sensors are small extremely rugged inclinometers (or tilt indicators) made for off-road forklifts, material handlers, and equipment with aerial type extended booms.

H4 Sensors are small extremely rugged inclinometers (or tilt indicators) made for off-road forklifts, material handlers, and equipment with aerial type extended booms Available with 0.5V Analog or Digital Serial Outputs, two levels of Temperature Compensation, and 3 different measuring ranges, the H4 Series of inclinometers provide single axis inclination sensing in a rugged environmentally protected housing

The sensing package incorporates a liquid capacitive sensing element and integrated temperature compensation over the industrial operating range of -40deg to +85deg.

These sensors are available with a choice of two output configurations, analog voltage or digital serial outputs.

These outputs are linear with respect to the input angle directly.

Depending on the required accuracy, two levels of temperature compensation are available.

Angle ranges available are +/-30deg, +/-45deg, and +/-70deg.

Digital Serial (RS232) Output: The Serial output (RS232) transmits the degree of angle in a decimal format.

This output provides a continuous stream of readings - one reading per line at approximately 250msec per reading.

The H4 transmits the output to a computer through its serial port, using HyperTerminal as the interface.

The unit is configured for 9600 baud, 8 data bits, no parity, 1 stop bit.

Applications include boom angle indication, platform leveling for construction and lift equipment - built for rugged harsh environments to provide accurate angle monitoring.

The H4 has a common footprint (with adjustment slot) making it easy to retrofit or field replace less durable or accurate sensors.

Rieker Boom Angle and Tilt/Level Indicators Comply with Current OSHA Standard 1926.550.
