Richard Burbidge launches Classic collection

Richard Burbidge has launched a Classic collection of balustrades offering a choice of easy-to-fit styles for installation on new or existing decking.

The Classic collection is suitable for use on domestic ground level decks, and includes four systems: glass panel, square baluster and two metal baluster systems.

It also includes the American baluster system.

The Classic glass panel system features slim glass panels which fix into a rebated timber frame, suitable for homeowners with smaller gardens, looking to maximise the sense of space.

Also new to the Classic range is the square baluster system which uses 32mm and 41mm square balusters to create a modern balustrade system.

In addition, two new metal balusters have been added to the Classic range - the Victorian and Abbey metal balusters.

The more detailed curves of the Victorian baluster will add interest to the garden, while the gentle curve of the Abbey baluster suits more simple landscaping projects.

All new systems are suitable for use with the 82mm square newel and the flat capping rail, while the metal and square baluster systems use an L rail and the glass panel system is supplied with its own carrying rail.

Catriona Nicholls, outdoor balustrade product manager said: "The Classic collection has a style to suit most gardens.

The uncomplicated designs make them versatile as well as easy to install, saving time on the job.

However, the quality of the timber, metal and glass means homeowners are getting a high end system, which research has shown they are happy to pay a premium for.

"Plus, as the range offers a choice of three materials - timber, metal and glass - trade professionals can upsell homeowners, to add value to decking projects and boost margins".

The Classic range is one of four new outdoor balustrade categories, now available from Richard Burbidge following a recent range restructure.

Other ranges include: Hardwood, a premium collection offering luxury and durability; Contemporary, a modern collection including the flagship Fusion systems; and Traditional, a wide range of mix and match softwood components in popular styles.

All systems are suitable for use on ground level decks up to 600mm above the ground, and are tested in line with UK building regulations.

Selling prices start from GBP47.40 plus VAT per linear metre for the Classic square baluster system.
