RIW hosting Technical Open Day to give guidance to local architects and engineers in identifying common problems associated with waterproofing today's structures and how to avoid them.

Technical Open Day in Winchester Thursday 17th May 2007.

RIW is hosting a free Technical Open Day at the beautiful Hotel du Vin, Winchester.

Our Waterproofing Experts will be available to give guidance to local architects and engineers in identifying common problems associated with waterproofing today's structures and how to avoid them.

Waterproofing at or Below Ground Level: Design Considerations and Guidance.

Our 60-minute Technical Seminar will be presented during three sessions throughout the day.

The seminar gives an introduction to BS8102 (Code of Practice for the protection of structures against water from the ground) outlining the critical design considerations that influence the form of construction and material selection.

This includes guidance on the most commonly used waterproofing materials, including reference to strengths and weaknesses of the systems, together with application methods and advice on surface preparation.

The seminar is of a highly technical nature, and will be followed by a Question and Answer session.

Alternatively, please drop in at any time between 10am and 4pm for a one-to-one project-specific consultation, and to join us for a coffee! For further details and a downloadable registration form, please go to the website or email technicalrequest@riw.co.uk.
