Renewable Energy Systems Limited (RES) announced partnership with Future Heating, one of the UK's market leaders in solar thermal design and installation.

This follows RES's acquisition last year of similar stakes in three of the UK's most successful renewable energy companies - Wood Energy, EarthEnergy and PV Systems - as part of its strategy to offer a comprehensive service to the growing market in renewable energy technologies for buildings The Future Heating acquisition means that, alongside its established wind energy business, RES can now offer the full range of biomass, ground source heating and cooling, solar PV and solar thermal to customers looking for on-site low-carbon heat and power generation

Future Heating has been trading since 2001 and provides solar thermal systems for commercial and large scale projects.

In particular, it offers full design, specification and installation advice on the most efficient and cost effective systems for commercial or multiple domestic installations.

As an independent supplier and installer of solar thermal solutions, Future Heating is able to offer systems specifically suited to the project in hand.

Mark Candlish, the RES director responsible for on-site renewables, said; "Future Heating has the knowledge and skills to successfully deliver solar thermal installations for large scale projects".

"They have a reputation for their excellent customer service and quality installations and will be an extremely valuable addition to RES.

We are now able to offer the complete range of renewable energy technologies for buildings and on-site generation".

"We look forward to meeting the rising demand for low-carbon, secure and reliable energy and also helping to grow the skills base in these sectors." Solar thermal collectors can deliver up to 60% of a building's hot water needs and can be highly effective for organisations with demand for hot water, such as leisure activities, offices and healthcare.

There is a wide variety of products available that can be retrofitted or integrated into new and existing buildings providing many years of low maintenance renewable energy.

David Read, Chief Executive Officer of Future Heating, said; "We are very pleased to partner with RES and are excited about the future opportunities this will bring both parties".

"This partnership means we can better serve our existing customers and are able to offer a greater range of services to our new and current clients".

"The other partners and ourselves are all committed to working to the common goal of reducing the fossil fuel demand in the UK with RES.".
