Resin Surfaces gives a fresh face to Billingsgate
Resin flooring specialist Resin Surfaces, has given a fresh finish to London landmark, Billingsgate, following selection of its Resuthane TG69 product to furnish the fish market with a new floor.
Formulated by Resin Surfaces (RSL)'s team of in-house technical experts, the range was created to help contractors meet the increasingly tight installation windows on major construction and refurbishment projects.
RSL managing director, Ivy Wroe, commented: "One of the biggest challenges the industry faces is how it can help clients who stand to benefit from a resin floor but require minimum construction downtime.
"There are fast-cure products available on the market that provide a solution, yet these often use aggressive and unpleasant chemicals that can complicate the installation process.
Here at RSL, however, we have created fast-cure products that do not contain these harmful chemicals but still offer exceptionally fast curing times".
The fast-cure range has already proved its credentials for offering exceptional performance at a test site earlier in 2008.
Here, a system consisting of one coat of Resuprime FH and Resuflor FH was applied at room temperature of 20degC to a 2,500 sq m area at a major printing facility.
The primer was tack free in two hours and able to take the epoxy self-smoother, which was trafficable in less than six hours.
Ivy Wroe concludes: "There is an enormous need in the construction industry and among end users for products that enable a complete resin flooring system to be installed in a day with minimum complication.
We believe we have created this and look forward to reaping the rewards of fulfilling this need.".
