Polystar polycarbonate clip blocks have been chosen for set design in Britain's most popular soap Millions of television viewers will see Polystar clip-blocks used as part of the set design during one of Coronation Street's most dramatic storylines

This versatile product is manufactured from tough polycarbonate plastic in a size of 200mm x 200mm x 80mm.

This is similar to a standard glass block.

Polystar is used to create very attractive walls and screens which can be quickly erected and then, if required, taken down and re-erected in a different style.

This can be done in hours which is a big bonus for a fast moving setting such as a television production studio.

The Polystar blocks are interlocking and can be assembled without the need for specialist building skills.

Their unique clip-together design also eliminates the need for messy mortars and adhesives.

This ease and speed of construction appeals to set designers and commercial installers.

As well as Coronation Street Polystar blocks have been used for "The Bill" "Casualty", "Eastenders"," Holby City" and many other T.V.

programmes.

The impact strength of Polystar is ca 200 times that of glass.

The material is also four times more resilient than glass making it safer in use.

Because the blocks are waterproof they can be used to make attractive shower screens.

For this application the light weight is a big bonus when used above ground floor level.

It does away with the need for strengthening floors before installation.

Polystar is available both u/v protected for outdoor use and non-u/v protected for indoor use.

The blocks are class 1 UK fire rated under BS476 part 7.

They have A thermal insulation of 2.6Wm2-K and good acoustic insulation.

A range of accessories are available to enable curved walls, walls with returns and sloping walls to be created.

Where there are obstructions such as beams the Polystar blocks can be cut to fit.

Polystar is available in clear and a range of 10 colours enabling both safe and spectacular designs to be created.

Rockwell Sheet Sales technical support service provides excellent back up and the Coventry based firm can also offer advice on installing the product.
