Polycarbonate roof systems impact tested

A Rockwell Sheet Sales product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Nov 6, 2007

Rockwell Kappa and C4/25 multiwall polycarbonate systems are very popular for canopies and pitched Rooflights because of their ease of installation.

To add to their appeal these systems have now been impact tested to ACR(M)001:2005..

Both systems, using the robust 3mm.

thick channel, achieved a Class B result which means that a 45Kg.

bag dropped from a height of 1200mm.

was retained not once but twice by the systems.

To enable kappa and C4 to be used with confidence over long lengths the tests were conducted not only in single but also double, triple and multiple span configurations.

Rockwell now claim to offer some of the most attractive, economical, easiest to install, versatile and robust systems available.

C4/25 is offered as a bespoke system that is Part L compliant with a delivery time of 3-4 weeks.

Kappa, which has a Euroclass fire rating, is not only offered bespoke but is also usually available ex-stock in 6M.

length for prompt delivery.
