Gloucestershire growth set to continue
Future looks very strong for the commercial property sector in Gloucestershire - as long as sufficient land is available.
The transformation of the Wheelhouse is part of a refurbishment programme at the popular commercial development, which will also see other public areas being made more accessible for disabled people working there.
"Long before the new legislation came into force, we consulted extensively with an access specialist building consultancy which carried out an assessment of the entire estate to ensure that buildings comply with DDA requirements," says Julie Griffin, letting and tenants' services co-ordinator.
"We have now implemented a policy of making developments more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities".
In addition to the new lift at Bond's Mill, colour-coded interiors have been introduced to all public areas, designed to help visually impaired people identify different floors.
Other features include wider doors and a reception area with intercom telephones to all tenant premises.
"A convenient rural location with ample parking has proved very attractive to tenants, many who have relocated from busy town centre settings," adds Julie Griffin.
"We also offer a number of on-site services - a resident professional management and maintenance team, mail collection, meeting room hire and on-site cafe".
Bond's Mill is located just a mile from Junction 13 of the M5 and boasts a varied mix of business and government organisations.
It provides rapid road access to Bristol, Gloucester and Cheltenham - all within half an hour's drive time.
Swindon and the M4, as well as South Wales and the Midlands, are also within easy reach.
Tenants include the south west regional office of the Health Protection Agency (HPA) and Progressive Finance, one of the UK's leading providers of financial solutions, as well as Storm Public Relations, Omega Resource, Sanctus Training and Mayrise.
