Gloucestershire growth set to continue
Future looks very strong for the commercial property sector in Gloucestershire - as long as sufficient land is available.
Simon Pennels, a partner at Alder King, property managers and joint letting agents for Imperial Gate, explained: "The site had housed an ice cream factory since just after the Second World War, but when all production at Gloucester was reconfigured a few years ago by Birds Eye Wall's, owner Unilever moved ice cream production to another location nearby on the same plot.
"The former ice cream factory site was then acquired by Robert Hitchins which has created high quality, modern and attractive business accommodation in a prime location".
Once completed, Imperial Gate Business Park will consist of four new and refurbished office buildings totalling 7,869 sq.m.
(84,700 sq.ft.) set in 4.6 acres of landscaped grounds with a range of 372 sq.m.
(4,000 sq.ft.) to 2,230 sq.m.
(24,000 sq.ft.) available office space to let.
It is well situated for access to the motorway network and rail services, particularly given the proposed new Parkway station for Elmbridge.
Jane Tooley at Robert Hitchins added: "The Wall's ice cream factory was a landmark in Gloucester for many years and it is fitting that the site for such a major employer should now become the location for this prestige site which is attracting such strong interest and will create significant employment opportunities for local people.".
