Under 9s sponsorship deal
Young footballers playing for Caldicot Town A Under 9s are to benefit from a new kit sponsorship deal.
Young footballers playing for Caldicot Town A Under 9s are to benefit from anew kit sponsorship deal agreed with Castlegate Business Park which is currently being redeveloped by property developer, Robert Hitchins Limited.
The team, playing in the East Gwent mini football section, is currently enjoying an excellent season with team manager Andy Bradley believing that ongoing support of parents and the enthusiasm of the players are greatly contributing to success on the field.
"The new sponsorship deal with Castlegate Business Park is a real boost, adding impetus to what is becoming a very good season for us," says Andy.
"It's not only very important for these young players to feel good about what they are wearing on the pitch, but this kind of support is just what's needed to help encourage young talent.
"We see the kids visibly grow week by week and often the kit becomes outgrown before it becomes outworn.
Sponsorship is much needed and greatly appreciated." This season the Under 9s have expanded the squad to provide even more opportunities for youngsters to play regular football, but Andy Bradley is still keen for more young players to come along and have a go.
"We're always pleased to welcome new players and we will continue to develop and encourage the youngsters within the squad to fully enjoy the game of football, whatever their ability," he adds.
"All players are introduced to an environment that actively encourages fair play, team spirit and friendship." During the course of last season the team entered a number of tournaments within Monmouthshire, Newport and even travelled as far as Cornwall.
"We hope that through our sponsorship support, the Under 9s will continue to enjoy an excellent season.
Castlegate Business Park is thrilled to be associated with Caldicot Town and wish them every success," says David Herbert, Robert Hitchins development consultant, Wales.
The new sponsorship deal follows the announcement in October 2005 by Robert Hitchins agreeing a £10 million pound investment for the redevelopment of Castlegate Business Park, with up to 500 new jobs being created over the next two years.
Once fully occupied, the 17-acre mixed-use, multi- occupied business park will become the largest employment location in the county.
