The Walker Pritchard Partnership have purchased a building at The Courtyard at Tewkesbury Business Park, developed by Robert Hitchins.

Just one office unit now remains available at one of Gloucestershire's most successful new business parks following the arrival of another high-profile occupant Chartered surveyors The Walker Pritchard Partnership have purchased a 4,554 sq ft (423 sq m) building at The Courtyard at Tewkesbury Business Park, developed by Robert Hitchins, in a relocation from the company's previous base in Gloucester

Walker Pritchard has invested more than £700,000 in acquiring the building which already houses two occupants, EG Carter and Lonza.

Deborah Pope, office manager for Walker Pritchard, explained: "We had outgrown our Gloucester premises and the lease was coming to an end there anyway".

"We were not keen to continue renting and so decided to look for an investment property".

""We looked at a number of locations, both urban and out-of-town, but were highly impressed by both the convenience of the location and the high standards of office accommodation at The Courtyard".

"We now have nearly double the space we had in Gloucester, giving us room to expand further, while the rental from the two existing tenants provides us with additional income." Jane Tooley, asset manager at Robert Hitchins, added: "We have been delighted with the levels of interest in The Courtyard which is now nearly full".

"It's clear that prestige out of town developments such as this are becoming increasingly attractive for organisations of all sizes, whether their preference is to rent or buy outright, due to their convenient locations and generally lower costs than those in major towns and cities." The Courtyard is an original development of individual office buildings of historical character in a unique and tranquil setting, but less than one mile from junction 9 of the M5 motorway.

Rail links are provided from Ashchurch Parkway, just one mile away, with InterCity services available from both Cheltenham and Gloucester.

Other major occupiers at Tewkesbury Business Park include G4 Technology, Corus, Duraflex and Severn Vale Housing Association.

Just one of the 10 original office units now remains available at The Courtyard - Building C2, which offers 4,775 sq ft (444 sq m) of prime office accommodation.
