Largest office letting this year in Gloucester

Gloucestershire Highways has acquired 18,700 sq ft of office space on a new 10-year lease at Imperial Gate Business Park, Gloucester.

Imperial Gate Business Park comprises part of the former Wall's ice cream site at Barnwood, Gloucester.

Gloucestershire Highways is a partnership between Gloucestershire County Council and Atkins, set up to deliver Highways and Transportation Services across Gloucestershire.

In drawing together staff from across several city locations, the interconnection of the two buildings and the open plan form of the main office space combined with separate meeting rooms were important factors in Gloucestershire Highways' decision.

The light and airy accommodation set within an open campus provides an excellent environment for Gloucestershire Highways staff to work together as an integrated organisation.

Gloucestershire Highways was attracted to the site by the economic rentals and also Imperial Gate's excellent location adjacent to the A417, providing links to Gloucester City Centre and easy access to the rest of the county.

For those travelling further afield, Junctions 11 and 11A of the M5 are both within two miles.

The site also offers extensive car parking facilities.

Three office suites between 2,250 sq ft and 5,500 sq ft now remain available at Imperial Gate.and#65533; Peter Barrett of Bruton Knowles comments: "The first six months of the year have been relatively quiet in Gloucester and the Gloucestershire Highways deal was comfortably the largest in and around the city".
