Gloucestershire growth set to continue
Future looks very strong for the commercial property sector in Gloucestershire - as long as sufficient land is available.
The 12-acre site, adjacent to the highly successful Bond's Mill commercial centre, provides high quality office accommodation close to junction 13 of the M5.
Three buildings on phase 1 have already been let or sold, encouraging commercial property developer Robert Hitchins Limited to press ahead with further development to meet demand.
Tom Edgeworth, chief executive of construction firm Edgeworth and Co Limited, is relocating the company's head office to the Waterfront.
"Edgeworth and Co is an expanding plastering and drylining business working across the midlands and south west," he said.
"The Waterfront fulfils a need for an administrative centre that will meet our future growth plans".
"With superb motorway links the position is ideal, and it puts us just a stone's throw away from key locations like Bristol, Stroud, Cheltenham, Gloucester and Swindon".
Health and safety and training consultancy, C and G Services, is also relocating its head office to the Waterfront moving into a 4,400 sq ft building.
Mark Durand, senior development surveyor at Robert Hitchins Limited, added: "The Waterfront is proving highly attractive to organisations seeking a strategically located base in a beautiful waterside environment".
"It is also a great opportunity for Stroud businesses to expand locally rather than relocating to Cheltenham or Gloucester.
"We continue our discussions with several blue chip companies keen to take advantage of Stonehouse Park's enviable business environment, excellent communication links and skilled workforce".
"Phase 2 will meet continuing demand as more organisations move on site.".
