Rockfon ceilings and acoustic solutions information is listed within NBS Plus, part of the NBS industry standard specification software.
"The school called for a ceiling that would allow full access through to the services within the void," he says.
"In addition, acoustic control and a clean, crisp aesthetic appearance were also prerequisite".
The RockLink 24 Monolith concealed grid system met all the requirements for access.
Having a lower number of components and fixings, the system offers fast and easy installation when compared to other systems, enabling it to be installed in large quantities with ease.
Being a fully demountable system, services are easily accessed.
Rockfon Sonar ceiling tiles are manufactured from 100% stone wool with an attractive white painted surface.
Sonar also provides excellent sound absorption and reduction in reverberation.
Rockfon Koral combines an attractive surface finish with functionality and high sound absorption, with high light reflectance.
Koral is also manufactured from compressed 100% stone wool and has a white painted surface with a subtly textured matt appearance.
It is available in a large range of module dimensions, which can be installed in RockLink exposed grid systems, offering a wide number of design options.
Both Rockfon Sonar and Koral are easy to clean and maintain overall reducing maintenance costs.
Also specified for their ability to withstand 1000 degrees Celsius for more than two hours, the Rockfon products satisfied all the guidelines for safety that apply to educational establishments.
Site Manager at the Phoenix High School, Jeff Brown was also impressed with Rockfon products.
"This is the first time we have used Rockfon products at the School and I am happy with the installation and appearance of the ceilings," he comments.
"We needed a system that would keep with the requirements set out by Hammersmith and Fulham Council, especially acoustic value and Rockfon delivered the perfect solution.".
