Owner Russell Harris bought the property in 1997 and has spent 8 years renovating the 19th Century Victorian stone water tower into his dream family home.

Rockwool provided over 1500 sq m of insulation, including 180m2 of 50mm Rockfloor and 140m2 of 100mm Cavity Wall Bats, helping to make Russell's home a comfortable, efficient and safe environment for his family.
Russell commented: "The environmental benefits of using Rockwool insulation are second to none and I am impressed by the level of performance.
The amount of CO2, SO2 and NOx that the product saves is a hundred times more than is used to make the product and it is manufactured using a totally natural process.
In a project of this scale, ensuring that the building is energy efficient is paramount, so it was important that we got this right the first time.
"I am thrilled that the building has been recognised by the Royal Institute of British Architects.
The project has been so successful because of the commitment shown by all those involved.
The end result is appreciated by all who see it." RIBA Awards are given to buildings which have high architectural standards and make a substantial contribution to the environment.
The award ceremony took place on the 23rd June 2006 at the London Hilton and Lymm Water Tower is one of only seven residential properties across the UK to receive the RIBA award.
