New marketing team for Rockwool

As part of its major GBP70 million UK expansion plan, Rockwool, manufacturer of stone wool insulation solutions, has appointed a new marketing team.

Marketing director, Simon Dutta, together with operational marketing manager, Felicity Pugh and business development manager, Shuet Han Tsui, will be working closely with Rockwool's business units to ensure the company achieves its ambitious growth targets in 2008.

Simon Dutta commented: "The unique sustainability and non-combustibility credentials of Rockwool are highly attractive features to the building industry, particularly in the current construction climate, where Building Relations and legislation are demanding increasingly higher standards.

"We will be working to ensure that Rockwool continues to be recognised as a leader in the industry and an innovator of sustainable, non-combustible, multi-functional insulation solutions, which meet the needs of the modern construction industry".

The new marketing team will be based at Rockwool's new headquarters in London, together with the company's wider corporate operations.

In addition to establishing a new London HQ, Rockwool is also currently doubling capacity at its manufacturing facility in Bridgend, South Wales, which will be complete by the end of 2008.

This large-scale expansion programme will include the installation of a third, technically-advanced production line, which will significantly increase Rockwool's capacity and create 110 new skilled jobs.
