It was built by the public sector and managed by the private sector through Commerce Court , a wholly owned subsidiary of Bradford Chamber of Commerce.
The new scheme for Commerce Court will contain two buildings, a three storey office block with additional networking and meeting spaces, and a single storey workshop block, providing managed, lettable space for new and innovative companies.
The development represents a major investment in Bradford's fortunes and will be ready for its first occupants in July this year.
The polished design by Robinson Design Group includes a three storey atrium for the office building providing natural light and an airy working space.
A networking area has been set aside on all floors for informal meetings, with the design giving access from the rear of the atrium to the yards and workshops behind, so they can be used by all tenants.
The Group has provided architecture, structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, landscape architecture and 3d visualisation services, as well as planning supervisors on the project.

Each workshop space, all housed in their own building, have separate entrances and range in size to from 500sq.ft to 1,500sq.ft.
The office spaces are generally all 500sq.ft but have been designed so that they could be subdivided or combined to suit the needs of tenants.
Andrew Robertson, Property Director from Commerce Court said "The Chamber is proud of this development, and its vision, ensuring that smaller businesses can feel part of our burgeoning city, and take advantage of a superb facility".
