Rockdoor invests GBP120,000 in machinery
Leading composite door manufacturer Rockdoor has invested GBP120,000 in new machinery at its state-of-the-art factory in Blackburn.
The investment includes a new Vacuum Forming machine which will increase capacity by up to 50% Rockdoor is also updating its existing machinery as part of its programme to streamline the manufacturing process to create the most advanced composite door manufacturing facility in Europe
The investment is also being made to keep ahead of growth in demand of the domestic retail market.
In 2007 production of Rockdoor has increased by 56%.
Rockdoor is the only engineered solid PVC-U door on the market offering strength, security and durability as well as energy efficiency and low maintenance.
Sales Director Mark Simm comments: "Once the new equipment has been installed it will significantly increase our capacity".
"By streamlining the manufacturing process we can increase production and cut lead times to keep ahead of customer demand.".
