Rockdoor 'secures' latest PAS 24 pass

A Rockdoor product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Sep 26, 2007

Rockdoor, the leading composite door manufacturer, recently passed the enhanced security certificate PAS 24 with flying colours.

The previous test, (which Rockdoor also passed with ease), has been amended to include a new cylinder vulnerability test.

This was a result of a spate of burglaries where the cylinder of a standard door was attacked and entry to property gained in a matter of moments.

The new test includes an attack aimed at breaking the cylinder using an axial load.

All manufacturers will have to resubmit their products for testing or their certification becomes invalid.

Sales Director Mark Simm comments: "Rockdoor passed the test and retains its reputation as the strongest composite door".

"Rockdoor is the only fully engineered PVC-U door on the market and combines strength, durability and low maintenance as well as being aesthetically pleasing.".
