Redhill Analysts supports HSE asbestos campaign
Redhill Analysts is giving its full support to the HSE's 'Asbestos Kills' Pilot Campaign, which was launched on National Action Mesothelioma Day.
At the moment, it is a pilot campaign which is focusing on the North West region to influence tradesmen and prevent their inadvertent exposure to asbestos at work.
The campaign is aimed at plumbers, electricians and other tradesmen, the HSE's campaign 'Asbestos the hidden killer' will highlight the message to these general trades that unless they take necessary precautions asbestos could kill them.
Redhill Analysts fully back the HSE Campaign and can offer suitable training enabling trades people to protect themselves from exposure to asbestos, providing long-term cost savings on remediation works caused by accidental damage.
Redhill have a team of in-house training consultants offering a variety of training courses to suit individual needs ensuring full compliance with current legislation.
From Asbestos Awareness and Management Training, Non licensable Work Training, right through to their Asbestos Master Class, Redhill Analysts conduct all their training in line with HSE Guidelines under the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006.
"Under the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006 all personnel who could disturb the fabric of buildings and their supervisors are required to have awareness training with an annual refresher course".
"We fully back the HSE Campaign in highlighting the dangers of asbestos and hope to see a reduction in asbestos-related deaths in the future" said Daniel Roebuck, Redhill Analysts, Managing Director.
He continues: "All of our courses are held at the client's offices or at a chosen venue to minimise disruption to businesses, providing a certificate of attendance for all courses".
The HSE has reported that 4,000 people a year are dying of asbestos related diseases.
It is feared that the UK is in the middle of an epidemic with deaths likely to rise to 5,000 a year.
Contributing to these figures are the deaths of twenty tradesmen per week after simply breathing in asbestos fibres whilst going about their day to day work.
