Spaceway delivers stylish new HQ for Airconco
Rundown structure transformed by Spaceway, a leading UK provider of integrated interior space solutions.
Airconco's impressive new headquarters in Mill Hill, North London not only brings its four companies under one roof but also provides it with an imposing interior which showcases the company's diverse activities comprising of air conditioning, disabled ramp access, insurance and fine art.
Transformed from a rundown 8,500 square foot structure by Spaceway, a leading UK provider of integrated interior space solutions, the building now comprises of storage and high quality designed offices, which has been further boosted with the addition of a 2,500 square foot storage area in an adjacent building.
Looking for an interior space solutions company that had the inspiration and technical ability to provide it with a prestigious and functional headquarters, Airconco initially visited three companies' showrooms to gauge the calibre of design and products supplied.
"Spaceway's showroom was by far the most impressive", says Andrew Cohen, Managing Director of Airconco.
"Not only did Spaceway have the vision we wanted but Spaceway's management team also had a wealth of experience and expertise which gave us great confidence".
To kick off the project, Spaceway had to completely strip out the building and then erect a mezzanine floor throughout.
To provide additional storage, Airconco negotiated a deal with a car dealership located in the adjoining building, whereby Spaceway was able to install a 2,500 square foot mezzanine floor over the existing car workshop.
So that Airconco could access the storage area directly from its premises, Spaceway knocked through doorways from the first floor Airconco's facility to the storage area.
Once the mezzanines had been installed, Spaceway began fitting out the building.
This involved creating 3,500 square feet of high quality designed office space, showroom and telecoms room together with 5,000 square feet of fully fitted storage.
The offices were then fitted with the latest Komfort 'Polar' glazed partitioning, and full height cherry veneer doors with polished stainless steel door furniture.
The general building, floor coverings, decoration, electrics, lighting air conditioning, ventilation and other specialist contractor works were all carried out to the highest standard under the supervision of Spaceway's on-site project team.
To complete the project Spaceway installed full height storage wall cabinets and matching executive desking, storage, seating and screens.
"Spaceway South pulled out all the stops and fast tracked the project so that all works were completed in 20 weeks", concluded Andrew Cohen.
"We are thrilled with the finished project and found Spaceway a pleasure to work with".
"We are so delighted with Spaceway's work that we have stated they can use our premises as a reference site for other projects".
