Spaceway new office layout for Martin Grant Homes
Spaceway has undertaken a complete turnkey operation for Martin Grant Homes including design, all building and electrical work and the supply of office furniture.
Prior to winning the tender, Spaceway's design team visited the site and then submitted designs to maximise the space available within the budget guidelines supplied by Poujoulat (UK).
"Spaceway has an eye for detail and provided us with really innovative designs as well as responding very quickly and efficiently to our requests", said Claire Peltier, Account Manager at Poujoulat (UK).
"Our management and staff are delighted with their new environment, which is extremely well-designed and provides us with a light, airy and efficient facility" .
Within the warehouse area, Poujoulat (UK) needed to store a variety of sized pallets accessed by a reach truck, store boxes, provide access for picking and fit emergency escape routes to meet Health and Safety regulations.
To meet these requirements, Spaceway designed, supplied and installed Planned Storage System's Stronglock pallet racking with timber decking on all levels.
The bays elevations were installed to 7.8m high to maximise use of the available headroom.
To accommodate pedestrian access for picking and escape routes, Spaceway installed an integral walk-though by fitting short end frames of up to two metres and reducing the beam lengths by half to create an opening through the bays.
Lastly, Spaceway installed general electrics, forklift truck charge points, emergency lighting and a high bay lighting system.
To complete the ground floor fit out, Spaceway created a new, 143m2 showroom and workshop office using Komfort Komfire partitioning and decorated to the client's requirements.
Finally, Spaceway installed all electrics and modular light fittings.
Within the existing open plan first floor offices, Spaceway created two new offices utilising Komfort Komsound partitioning.
The offices were then finished by reconfiguring the lighting, expanding the existing smoke alarm system and installing eight beech MFC storage wall units.
"We looked at a number of companies to fit out our new headquarters, but chose Spaceway for their quality products, excellent reputation and first class workmanship", concluded Claire Peltier.
