Salto Systems has launched a new brand of networked electronic handle sets that enables users to control and manage a greater range of access control applications than ever before.
Salto Systems has launched a new brand of networked electronic handle sets that are set to revolutionise the market, enabling users to control and manage a greater range of access control applications than ever before.
Smart, secure and innovative, XS4 is a new range of e-lock and access control platform that needs no hard wiring and provides a totally wire free networked electronic locking solution with a great range of features.
It is designed around state-of-the-art electronics that use distributed intelligence to pass information between microprocessors in the electronic handle set and the key card.
This enables XS4 electronic handles and e-cylinders to be easily added to almost any existing lock and door, with versions available for use with European, Scandinavian or American ANSI, modular mortise locks, to turn them into fully featured access control doors without compromising comfort, convenience, security or control.
Unmatched flexibility is the aim of the XS4 range and to achieve this all locks are compatible with standard mainstream RFID security technologies including Mifare, DESfire, Vecinity, Legic, HID iClass and Picopass, making it the ideal choice for multi-application solutions enabling users to choose from flexible, integrated iButton, Smart Card or Proximity access control solutions.
XS4 also allows users to benefit from the many advantages of the Salto Virtual Network (SVN).
This enables locks and key cards to be updated remotely and access profiles to be changed rapidly adding real value to the access management of a building.
It also eliminates the physical restrictions of traditional stand alone electronic locks and can seamlessly integrate with an existing access control system to allow ID cards and locks to be updated, restricted or deleted remotely.
The Salto wall readers linked in to the handle sets spread the access control system further into the building whilst still allowing for On-Line access provisions where needed.
The new XS4 supports up to 64,000 users and is designed for use in wire free stand-alone situations in a wide range of environments including universities, hotels, hospitals, corporate offices and government buildings.
It offers an extensive range of material finishes and handle styles to choose from and is fire tested and approved for 1 hour (RF60, DIN).
Simple off-line installation is possible on virtually any type of door including fire doors, those with narrow frames and doors fitted with multipoint locks.
It is also DDA (Disability Discrimination Act) and ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliant depending on handle options fitted.
And, in addition to these great features, the slim aesthetic design of the new XS4 is also able to withstand extreme weather conditions, making it the ideal choice for use on almost any project - even external doors.
