Smart access for locker rooms
The new i-Locker lock from SALTO Systems is designed to provide increased levels of security protection for lockers.
Most lockers supplied by OEM's are fitted with basic mechanical locks that offer little in the way of resistance to thieves.
The new i-Locker lock addresses this problem by introducing the latest electronic access control technology to the locker room in a low cost easy retro-fit format.
Upgrading the locker from a mechanical lock is simple.
The old lock is removed and a new i-Locker lock is fitted in its place.
Fastening screws on the inside of the i-Locker lock are adjustable to exactly the same dimensions as those typically found in most mechanical commercial locker and coin operated locks, ensuring a neat fit and professional appearance.
It can also be fitted to most cupboards and cabinets to control access to any expensive equipment that may be stored on site.
The i-Locker lock also features a large twist operated locking handle for ease of use, even with wet hands, and its durable wipe clean construction is resistant to most chemicals to ensure a long lasting, smart appearance.
The access reader is built into the outside of the handle while the locking mechanism, electronic components and battery pack are all located on the inside of the locker door, safe from interference or vandalism.
The lock is available using standard RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) protocols or iButton fobs, allowing it to be easily integrated with a wide range of networked PC management systems.
A really useful feature is that staff can use their general ID for several applications in addition to opening their locker, and these can include general access control, cashless payment functions etc.
With audit trail and timed access features built into the lock, and a wide choice of ID-carriers available, the new i-Locker from SALTO Systems provides an intelligent solution for high performance locker security in a wide variety of environments.
