SAS International invests in new factory
SAS International is to invest £8 million in building a new dedicated factory in Oldbury, West Midlands.
SAS International is a world leader in the design and manufacture of suspended metal ceiling systems, partitioning, architectural metalwork and room comfort products.
The company is to invest £8 million in building a new dedicated factory situated on the Apollo Park development in Oldbury, West Midlands.
Covering 90,000 sq.ft.(8,361 m2) the factory will provide a new purpose-built home for the production of the company's partitioning and associated products, which is currently located 1/2 mile away in West Bromwich.
Offering room for future expansion the new site will be open for production in 2007, and will be equipped with the latest manufacturing equipment.
Factory designs and plans are extensive, including facilities for research and development.

SAS International, formed in the UK in 1968 has three UK manufacturing plants.
Designed and built in accordance with stringent standards and utilising the most advanced technology of its type, each facility is responsible for different SAS products.
The Bridgend facility in South Wales manufactures metal ceiling systems and heating and cooling elements, while Maybole in Scotland is responsible for architectural metalwork.
