This large open space, which is the height of the building, creates a stunning, light-filled environment.
SAS System 330, painted silver grey, was installed to create a ceiling feature within the atrium, which was a key challenge in the project.
Ideally suited to applications with large expanses of ceilings, SAS System 330 gives a sense of space which is ideal for open plan areas.
Class A acoustic absorption or 49db attenuation can be achieved using a range of acoustic inlays.
In addition, SAS International provided specialist metalwork for this part of the building - bespoke spandrel panels clad the walls around the atrium.
The silver grey panels were manufactured with apertures integrating the atrium air diffusion nozzles, providing a durable, resilient and easy to maintain surface.
D.S.Blay Architecture Industrial Design Limited were the architects for the project.
Dvora Blay, Principal and lead on this project, commented: "The SAS solutions were specified because of the high acoustic value they offer".
"A suspended solution was important to offer access to the ceiling above".
"The ability to hang indirect/direct light fixtures from the structure of the System 130/Alugrid Q solution was also a key consideration," she added.
Nearly 16,000 sqm of SAS System 130 was chosen for the office and breakout areas in the complex.
Alugrid-Q, a unique multi-function suspension system for use with SAS System 130 metal ceiling tiles, provides a clean, flush ceiling plane.
Its continuous, linear threadform also allows the easy location of partition heads by means of an M6 bolt, without causing damage to the ceiling.
SAS metal ceiling systems are sympathetic to fast track construction as they are unaffected by humidity and can be installed as soon as the building envelope is closed.
The state-of-the-art new building has strong 'green' credentials.
This was a consideration in the specification of materials.
Steel is the world's most recycled material and SAS metal solutions, as well as offering a 25-year lifespan, when stripped out can be recycled.
