PAMCAD 2007 has been designed to work on all versions of AutoCAD, and is available on CD and, from January 1st, downloadable from the Saint-Gobain website (www.saint-gobain-pipelines.co.uk).
The software has been developed by leading supplier of ductile iron pipes, fittings and valves Saint-Gobain Pipelines to enable engineers to produce accurate drawings more easily and quickly by calling up pipeline components and arranging them on screen.
Comprising a host of benefits for engineers and specifiers looking for a more cost- effective and efficient way to design pipework solutions, PAMCAD allows pipe runs to be drawn quickly and easily.
The software allows for pipe gaps, enables rapid change of diameter and shape and hosts a make up pipe facility using standard Saint-Gobain Pipeline products.
Phil Green, Head of Technical Sales for Saint-Gobain Pipelines comments: "Utilities' designers, engineers and specifiers constantly seek to minimise cost and lead times when creating pipelines and layouts".
"PAMCAD has been developed specifically for this purpose and, as such, we believe it will be fully embraced within the water industry".
"It further endorses the company's reputation within the water and sewerage sector for providing innovative market-leading products and technology".
