New Heights With Innovative Curtain Walling System
Recognising the need for a versatile, high-performance yet easy to construct curtain walling system, Sapa Building Systems has developed and launched Gridframe MRV.
Sapa cost-effective alternative to curtain walling
Sapa Building Systems has launched Dualframe Window Wall, designed to offer a cost effective alternative to traditional curtain walling systems.
Gridframe MRV comprises just 4 main components owing to a co-extruded pressure plate and glazing gasket that is extruded from a thermally enhanced material.
Minimal tooling is required for the square cut transoms making fabrication simpler and far quicker than conventional jointing methods that require additional machining, although of course where preferred these can be incorporated.
MRV is soon to be available in not only a traditional capped system but also Trame Horizontal, which accentuates the horizontal lines of the system as well as a high performance structurally glazed option.
As well as being designed to UK (CWCT) and European standards, the MRV Gridframe system meets the requirement of Part L using hard-coat glass, ensuring maximum design flexibility whilst keeping costs down compared to most curtain walling systems.
The launch of Gridframe MRV follows other product launches from Sapa, including the DUALFRAME doors and window and kit roof system with further new product developments set for launch in 2003.
