Sapa Shows Colours In Major London Development
The first phase of a stunningly contemporary development in Deptford, London has been completed and features fenestration from Sapa Building Systems including windows, doors and curtain walling.
The design of the development is clean and modern with colour used very specifically to lift the appearance of the entire development.
The penthouse apartments feature complete walls of glass glazed with Glostal 325 Window Wall, affording the occupants stunning views across London.
Apartments on the lower floors benefit from Monaframe sliding patio doors, with Proframe 325 windows, all suited in RAL7042 dark grey.
The use of cedar wood on the external walls adds extra visual interest to the striking and attractive buildings.
The care and attention to the external appearance of the development is continued internally where the bar, gymnasium and restaurant features, as well as the living spaces, are augmented by high quality finishes and specifications.
Renowned for its innovation in design and residential development, St James Homes developed One SE8 on a Brownfield site adjacent to the DLR at Deptford Bridge affording residents a fast and reliable link to the City and bringing Canary Wharf within 12 minutes' journey.
Architects for the project, Broadway Malyan and installers SBD, worked closely with St James Homes on the specification for the buildings' many and varied glazing requirements, having worked together on previous projects including The Mosaic Building at Narrow Street E14.
Sapa's extensive product range contributed to the smooth running of the project as all the fenestration elements could be sourced together by Wynda Components, working with SBD to ensure the tight timescales for the project were adhered to.
Four buildings at One SE8 - 279 apartments in total - have now been completed and work has started on the 320 apartments in Phase 2.
Apartments in the building start from £160,000 for a studio up to £420,000 for the penthouses.
