Satra board impressed at new extension
SATRA Technology Centre's Board members impressed with its new 24,000 square feet extension to its Wyndham Way laboratory and office complex.
SATRA's new 24,000 square feet extension to its Wyndham Way laboratory and office complex is due for completion in the summer and the Technology Centre's Board members have inspected and declared themselves "very impressed" with progress The complex will provide space for a new 8,000 square feet furniture and floorcoverings laboratory with much easier vehicular access for loading and unloading

SATRA extends Notified Body status under the CPD
SATRA has extended its Notified Body status and testing capabilities under the European Construction Products Directive (CPD) (89/106/EEC).
It will also offer opportunities to expand SATRA's research and flammability activities as well as providing space for the development of new SATRA activities over the next five years.
Chief Executive Dr Ron Whittaker said that the Board was also impressed with the flexible space created in the new building.
SATRA first moved on to the Wyndham Way site in 1997 and the latest development, costing GBP2 million, represents the largest single investment ever undertaken by the Technology Centre in its 88-year history.
The two-storey building is being built by J F Raftery and Sons, of Corby, Northants, who have constructed all phases on the site.
