Schock AG and Schock Bauteile Baden-Baden have been awarded "Investors in People" accreditation through the international IiP Quality Centre in London.

They become the first medium sized company in Germany to receive this recognition.

The Schock Group develops, manufactures and distributes innovative construction elements and systems for advanced building structures throughout Europe and the UK.

As market leaders in a competitive sector, the Group fully recognises that success is due to its people and Schock is constantly striving to improve business performance and competitiveness, through a planned approach to setting and communicating business objectives and developing people to meet these objectives.

The key elements in meeting IiP standards are that the organisation must develop effective strategies to improve the performance of the organisation, it must then take action to improve its pertormance - and it must evaluate that performance.

The Head of Human Resources at the Schock Group comments: "We are delighted to receive this accreditation, it is a prestigious seal of approval for our human resource activities and it is particularly rewarding to be the first organisation of our size in Germany to become a recognised Investor in People".
