Screedpumps brings revolution to flooring sector

A Screedpumps product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Jul 5, 2006

New company Screedpumps has stormed the floor-screeding sector by bringing revolutionary new techniques and equipment to Britain.

Screedpumps specialises in the sale and hire of screed pumps, screeding machines and operatives' clothing and equipment.

Backed by strong investment, Screedpumps has introduced technically revolutionary new equipment which speeds up one of the more labour-intensive jobs in the construction industry.

To satisfy the increasing demand, the company, from Maldon in Essex, has one of the UK's largest stocks of German-built Putzmeister screed pumps - with options for more.

Screedpumps Area Sales Manager Mark Wells said: "We have become a market leader because of the numbers of machines we have available to meet demand.

We can say with confidence to our customers that laying hundreds of square metres a day is possible with our equipment and the service we provide".

The Screedpumps range includes:.

* Screed pumps with or without drag shovel and hydraulic skip loaders.

* The Lomar 106/107 speed screeding machines.

* Self-levelling floor screeding equipment.

* General floor equipment.

* Hand tools - hand trowels and floats.

* Protective clothing - screeding trousers, hi-visibility jackets, work boots, and gloves.

* Screed pump accessories.

Mark Wells adds: "With screed pumps and speed screeders there is also a considerable improvement to the health and safety aspect as the time the floor screeder is on his knees is reduced by about 75%.

This minimises strain on a number of areas of the body - including the back, knees, shoulders and arms.

"There is a new realisation in the UK about how skip-loading screed pumps and the Lomar screeding machine can save time and money.

They are widely used in Europe and Ireland and we are introducing them successfully in Britain.".
