Screwfix is working in conjunction with the Federation of Master Builders (FMB) to find the 2008 Apprentice of the Year.
With branches all over the UK, Screwfix is the UK's largest direct and online supplier of building, maintenance and refurbishment items to the trade Open to any UK apprentice, not just FMB members, the Award carries a top prize of GBP1,000 which will be given to the apprentice who has been shown to have an outstanding ability and who offers a high level of skill in his or her chosen trade

As sponsors of the Award, Screwfix is calling on all employers, customers, tutors and members of the CITB-ConstructionSkills regional teams to nominate apprentices who they feel represent the best young talent in the construction industry.

Closing date for all entries is 31 July, 2008 and the winner will be presented with the award by Claire Weaver, designer and TV presenter at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London, on 13 November, 2008.
