Michael Levack, Chief Executive of the Scottish Building Federation called on First Minister Alex Salmond to prioritise needs of construction industry when he sets out plans to build a 'lion economy'.
The award ceremony is one of the biggest annual gatherings and is recognised as the Fire Industry's 'Oscars'.
Staged this year alongside International Fire Expo, the event attracts widespread media coverage and is attended by some 600 of the industry's most important and influential figureheads.
In the award citation, particular reference was made to the focus placed by Gerco UK on employee training and development.
The company, which has also achieved the coveted Investor in People national standard is one of the UK's foremost contractors, specialising in Passive Fire Protection, Dry Lining, Air Integrity Sealing Systems and provision of employee training and development to the industry.
