Scottish Building kicks off 2006 in
style
Annual Dinner Dance of Scottish Building - Grampian, a Local Association of principal employers' federation Scottish Building.
The Thistle Hotel, Aberdeen Airport was the venue for the Annual Dinner Dance of Scottish Building - Grampian, a Local Association of principal employers' federation Scottish Building The evening proved, as ever, to be an outstanding success and was hosted by the current Association President, Mr.Bill Imlach of Stewart Milne Construction

Guests on the evening included the Chief Executive of Scottish Building, Mr.Michael Levack, current President of Scottish Building, Mr.David Smith and Mr.Sholto Humphries, President of the Aberdeen Society of Architects, along with their partners.
The top table was also host to Mr.Douglas Thomson, Vice President of Scottish Building - Grampian and Mr.Derek Morrice, Immediate Past President of Scottish Building - Grampian and their partners.
UCAN, a new north of Scotland charity was the chosen charity that will benefit from fundraising on the evening.
£800.00 was raised during the evening for UCAN, which funds vital research into improving the care and treatment of patients affected by urological cancers.
This important research benefits patients and their families throughout the North of Scotland.
The first donation envelope that was picked from the drum on the evening won a two-night break for two at any Scottish Thistle Hotel, with Champagne and Chocolates on arrival.
This fantastic prize was won by one of the main sponsors of the event, Mr.Syd Birnie of Aberdeen Window and Door Systems .
The generosity of the members and guests on the evening was incredible and the support shown to the Association of Scottish Building in Grampian was a credit to all members and those associated with the Association.
The money raised will be presented to UCAN over the next of the next week or so.
After the dinner and speeches, there was dancing into the wee small hours, with music being provided by The Steve Ransom Band.
