Scottish Building's annual dinner celebrates success and supports a worthy cause
Departing from tradition, Scottish Building's lively, highly praised annual dinner was held in the Glasgow Marriot Hotel on the 21st April The well attended event welcomed over 250 guests and proved to be popular among industry associates as well as several well-known Glasgow personalities

The enjoyable event was chaired by The President of Scottish Building, Mr.George Fraser, who reflected on the achievements over the last year and invited guests to enjoy excellent food and celebrate the history, traditions and current work of the Federation.
Guest celebrity speakers Susan Morrison and Arnold Brown entertained the audience with their quick wit and humorous anecdotes.
Well known for hosting Talk 107 Radio's morning show and her regular appearances at the Glasgow International Comedy Festival, as well as amusing guest stints on the Fred MacAulay Show, Susan is never at a loss for words.
The captivated audience were treated to her witty, real-life accounts, topical observations and a bit of audience interaction thrown in to shake up the crowd.
The Grandfather of alternative comedy, Arnold Brown, followed and charmed attendees with his laconic style and lightning-fast wit.
His hilarious punch-lines had the audience in stitches.
Regularly appearing on BBC1 Scotland and BBC 2 as well as various other radio stations, Arnold has just returned from entertaining audiences in New York as part of the recent Tartan Week.
But celebrating the construction industry's success wasn't the only order of the evening.
Guests were asked to support the Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre in Inverness, coinciding with MS Week running from the 22nd to 29th April 2006.
Perhaps more prominent in the media this year than ever before, it has been revealed that Scotland has the highest prevalence of Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in the world with statistics showing around 1 in 500 people in Scotland have the degenerative disease.
The attendee's generosity was overwhelming and a massive £2,200 was raised through donations during the evening.
