Mears Group Plc acquire Laidlaw Scott
Limited
Mears Group, the UK's leading social housing maintenance and repair contractor, announce, that Laidlaw Scott Limited, a member of trade federation Scottish Building, has joined the Mears Group.

Established in 1992, the Laidlaw Scott Limited currently has a £7 Million turnover and employs around 140 staff.
The company was purchased on the basis of its business success and the close alignment of both groups company values, such as a commitment to training and employment opportunities and the development of innovations within both our processes and the supply chain.
This will allow the company to be easily incorporated within the Mears structure.
This approach will bring benefits to both Clients and Tenants in Scotland.
It is a favourable addition to the Group and will play an integral part in building Mears' presence throughout the country.
Mears Group CEO, Stuart Black who originates from Glasgow said: "I am delighted that we have found such a good business to spearhead our entry into the growing Scottish market".
