Launch of new Scottish Building website

Scottish Building launch new website to provide members and the general public with a comprehensive range of information about the construction sector from a single source.

Scottish Building, the principal employers' federation for the construction industry in Scotland, has launched its new website to provide members and the general public with a comprehensive range of information about the construction sector from a single source.

A key feature of the site is its unique 'Find a builder near you' search facility which, for the first time, gives members of the public access to a list of all Scottish Building members local to their area.

Federation members, meanwhile, can now register online via a password to access a comprehensive range of trade information.

Michael Levack, Chief Executive - Scottish Building, said, 'Not only does this new website vastly improve the general public's accessibility to information about the construction industry, it gives us a very efficient and direct means of communication with the federation's "customers" - our members".

The new website allows us to answer enquiries from the general public more readily than ever before and streamlines the many administrative tasks of the federation since much of the information we have traditionally distributed to members through the post is now distributed online.

With over 700 companies in membership ranging from the sole traders through to the major national contractors, Scottish Building represents the interests of all members, from Orkney to the Borders.

Equally, the Federation seeks to assist all those involved within the construction industry and is the principal authority on all construction related matters.

The new Scottish Building website was designed by Glasgow-based Peach Digital Limited.
