Servaccomm, a leading design and manufacturers of bespoke modular buildings, step in to aid Mace in bespoke transformation project for the Royal Shakespeare Company.

Servaccomm won a high profile contract to perform with one of the world's most iconic theatrical ensembles - the Royal Shakespeare Company, based on the banks of the River Avon.

The Royal Shakespeare Company attracted over 500,000 visitors last year and the leading theatre company were this year granted planning permission to transform their Stratford-upon-Avon home to create the best modern day playhouse for Shakespeare in the world! Consultancy and construction group, Mace, commenced with the three-year transformation contract on the 14-acre site in spring of 2007.

The heavy workforce Mace needed on call for the GBP112.8 million pound project, were in need of a quick accommodation solution in close proximity to the Stratford site, and that's where Servaccomm's established expertise stepped in! A three-storey modular building, manufactured by Servaccomm, was purchased by Hewden Hire, and rented to Mace to house their team, providing a practical and modern working environment.

The modular offsite nature of Servaccomm's construction system allowed the majority of work on the modular build to be completed in their quality-controlled factory environment - with power, lighting, heating, air conditioning and plumbing already installed.

The modular building was then delivered to site, connected into the mains services and was ready for occupation within a prompt two weeks! Mace, who were established in 1990 and employ over 2,300 people internationally, are known as one of the world's most diverse consultancy and construction groups, and boasts a high reputation based on complex problem solving and efficient and safe project delivery.
