The Burton Waters Development by Beal Homes in Lincoln comprises properties, all boasting a magnificent riverside location.

The houses and apartments have all been roofed using a variety of products from Sandtoft's extensive tile collection, which all sit perfectly at this exciting marina-side development.

Ian Pickwell, Beal Homes' architect, comments: "Burton Waters is one of our most exciting current developments.

It's a unique inland water complex which has all been purposely constructed - including the water.

"It was therefore crucial all elements were aesthetically authentic.

The external appearance of the homes is of course a major part of this so we were delighted with Sandtoft who offered a complete range of tile styles and colours which complemented the overall design ideally.

"The products were specifically chosen as the quality was very high and as they are made from natural slate and clay, the maintenance required is much less than with man-made materials.

This will help ensure our properties and the marina look their best for longer, without the new residents have to make costly repairs to their roofs.

"We were also very impressed with Sandtoft's dry roofing system which was second to none.

The slate dry verge ensured maintenance was reduced and many of the traditional fitting problems were eliminated".

Among the Sandtoft products selected by Beal Homes was the revolutionary 20/20 tile.

Clay has traditionally been seen as an expensive alternative to the more commonly used concrete when it comes to roofing, however the 20/20 is the first natural clay tile which is more cost effective than concrete.

The also reduces installation time by up to 30 per cent and requires a third less tiles per square metre.

To ensure the homes kept individuality, BritLock Slate was also used to contrast with the clay roofs.

The BritLock is a lightweight and extremely labour efficient interlocking slate manufactured from 80 per cent recycled slate.

Burton Waters is a unique concept providing a luxurious lifestyle appealing to those discerning individuals requiring a prestigious home situated within an unrivalled environment.

At approximately 140 acres, the development boasts a range of outstanding facilities and amenities within a spacious landscaped environment enhanced by its spectacular Marina complex.
