The new unit features a glazing bead located inside the cavity between the primary and secondary windows which effectively removes the "clutter" from the internal aspect of the building, giving the designers a clearer canvas with which to work.

It also has the additional advantage of eliminating dust gathering ledges, thus making it ideal for a cleaner environment.
Then, in order to maximise the thermal insulation properties of the installation, the standard Series 41 profile has been designed to accept sealed unit glazing, effectively providing triple glazing.
This has provided a calculated u-value for the window of circa 1.7W/MK - far exceeding the requirements of Part L of the Building Regulations.
The building will also benefit from the extremely high levels of acoustic insulation intrinsic in Selectaglaze's secondary glazing, thus keeping at bay the constant noise of this busy central London location.
To date, over 200 Series 41 units - most of which are double side hung casements - have been installed in three of the building's twenty floors.
The units are fitted with flush multi-locking systems to provide the cleanest internal line.
Remaining floors are due to be treated as and when they become available.
Purpose made secondary glazing is often the only way to introduce contemporary working and living environments into listed, historic or landmark buildings.
It also allows a building to be upgraded gradually, as with 33 Cavendish Square, rather than having to invest in all windows being replaced in a single "hit".
Units arrive fully assembled to allow rapid installation with minimal disruption and very little maintenance thereafter.
Selectaglaze has commissioned comprehensive independent research demonstrating the capability of their secondary glazing units to reduce heat loss and control noise.
