The route takes in cities including Venice and Turin - where they will take a spin on the famous Lingotto Rooftop racetrack which featured in the film - and Imola, the home of Italian Grand Prix.
Explaining why he's getting involved, Mr Maundrell, who's been Chairman of the Cheshire-based company since it was acquired by the Riverside Company in 2005, explains: "NCH is the UK's largest children's charity with over 500 projects across the UK helping 150,000 children, young people and their families who face poverty, disability and abuse and I am fortunate to be able to help raise some much needed funding, with the support of Sentinel, for them".
"The NCH does some fantastic work in helping provide children with the encouragement they and their families need to help them achieve their potential and this is a fun way of raising money to ensure they can continue to provide this service".
Not one to miss an opportunity, the Mini driven by the duo and team t-shirts will sport the Sentinel logo to raise the profile of the company during the event and, as a main sponsor, Sentinel have also given the fundraising a boost with a donation of £1,000.
The hope is to raise £10-15,000 so if you would like to help them reach this target then please contact Vic on 07921 575 895.
Mark Walker, Sentinel's European Marketing Director said: "We are behind Vic and his team all the way and look forward to seeing how he does in the rally".
"I'm sure he'll have a great time and we are delighted to be able to support him and the NCH.".
