The pair were competing against 54 other Mini-driving duos in an annual ten-day, motor rally based on the classic film, The Italian Job, which took them through 2,000km of breathtaking countryside and stunning cities in Italy.
Whilst they won first place in a special timed competition, in which they had to manoeuvre their car around bollards, overall the duo finished in 12th place, raising in the region of GBP13,000.
Mr Maundrell, Chairman of Cheshire-based Sentinel Solutions said: "The whole rally, from start to finish, was an incredible experience and the route was spectacular".
"The mountains of Stresa, with their hair pin bends and sheer drops was quite hair-raising, and driving in a cavalcade through Turin was really exciting, particularly as lots of spectators turned out to show their support and there was lots of tooting and lights flashing as we drove through red lights under police escort".
"And, what an honour to have the opportunity to have a spin round the Lingotto Rooftop racetrack and Monza - one of the world's most famous race tracks!".
He added: "We are delighted to have raised so much money for NCH and would like to thank everyone who has sponsored us in this event, particularly Sentinel which has been incredibly supportive".
"As the UK's largest children's charity, the NCH does a fantastic job, running more than 500 projects across the UK.
These projects help 150,000 children, young people and their families who face poverty, disability and abuse, helping provide children with the encouragement they and their families need to help them achieve their potential.".
