Neil says: "This publication raises awareness of green factors and supports the company's own environmental policy".
"It takes our policies to protect the environment out onto our building and painting sites, to give contract managers and other employees the information they need to meet company standards".
The Seddon Group is committed to delivering a better working environment and was singled out by judges at last year's Quality in Construction Awards for 'ethical trading in the local community'.
The comments were made after the company took the Training Achievement accolade at the awards, organised by the industry publication Construction News and supported by the DTi and Construction Excellence.
Rod Sellers, Seddon Group Chairman, says: "Seddon Stoke was one of the first construction companies in the UK to achieve ISO 14001 several years ago and this new guide for staff is a continuation of our commitment to sustainability and the environment".
"We are continually investigating and implementing new ideas to improve environmental efficiencies, including modern methods of construction, power generation and the use of biodeisel".
"It's important to make people aware of this environmental awareness approach across the entire company and this publication will enable us to do that.".
