As part of it's ongoing commitment to safety, leading UK building services company SES recently took part in the European Week for Safety and Health at Work 2003.

As part of it's ongoing commitment to safety, leading UK building services company SES recently took part in the European Week for Safety and Health at Work 2003 by promoting the event at all its sites and offices throughout the country - over 40 in total.

It's approach to the week saw the company supply bespoke display boards and literature on general safety and the European Safety and Health at Work theme - 'Dangerous Substances'.

At its £21 million mechanical and electrical building services contract at HSL Buxton, the Director General of HSE, Mr Timothy Walker, supported SES's efforts by taking time to view the displays on show at the project.

Mr Walker was on a scheduled visit at HSL Buxton, Derbyshire, to see how work was progressing at the £56.5 million redevelopment, which will combine the company's operations onto a single site.

Allan McDougall, SES Managing Director, said: "The European Week for Safety and Health at Work is yet another opportunity for us to promote our commitment to a safer working environment for our staff, whether they are site or office based.

We regard safety as paramount at SES and ensure we maintain 'best practice' at all times.".
