Restoring the Headrow in Leeds
SES has been awarded the GBP7million mechanical and electrical design and installation contract for the restoration of 22-26 The Headrow, in the heart of Leeds city centre.
This will provide the specified rigidly controlled internal environment required in the five-storey building by the client.
Each commissioning module contains commissioning valve sets and pressure differential regulators that act as a control centre for up to five fan coil units.
This modular approach, with centralised back flushing and commissioning, will make it easier and quicker to commission each fan coil group throughout the facility.
Set neatly within the University's complex the development will accommodate in the region of 250 personnel comprising 16 research labs with integral write-up facilities, secondary support areas containing coldrooms, darkrooms, instrument areas, cell culture facilities.
There are also MRI and NMR suites comprising 500, 600 and 800MHz instruments.
The principal contractor for the project is Norwest Holst and completion for the building is due in July 2004.
