Restoring the Headrow in Leeds
SES has been awarded the GBP7million mechanical and electrical design and installation contract for the restoration of 22-26 The Headrow, in the heart of Leeds city centre.
This now marks a significant milestone in the company's £2m mechanical and electrical (M and E) installation contract at the project.
The delivery of the cupboards, worth over £250k in total, represent the start of the major internal M and E installation process in the two comprehensive laboratory suites situated on the first and second floors.
In conjunction with this, work will also now commence on the lab gases, compressed air, vacuum, gas monitoring and detection systems, along with a bespoke laboratory hot and cold water service in the areas.
The new three-storey educational and research laboratory building is part of a proposed two-phase development that has and will replace the existing university facilities.
When completed in Spring 2004 its prime function will be to house research in organic and analytical studies.
The building will also give staff and students a first class environment for this specialised research.
The principal contractor for the project is Allenbuild.
