Building services provider SES has been awarded the contract to install M and E building services to a 4-storey senior living development in the heart of Southampton.

Leading building services provider SES has been awarded the GBP1.7m contract to install M and E building services to a 4-storey senior living development in the heart of Southampton.

Sunrise Senior Living is a hugely successful American concept, creating an assisted living community environment for the elderly that encourages independence, preserves dignity and enables freedom of choice.

Sunrise Senior Living is looking to expand the concept within the UK and has recently outlined its objective to build at least 5 new developments in the UK every year for the next five years.

Sunrise Southampton is a new, high quality development that will offer 85 residential rooms with en-suite facilities, common areas, activity areas, kitchen and car parking for the elderly.

There will also be a staff accommodation suite and garden areas.

Working with principal contractor Gleeson Construction Services over a 10-month period, SES is carrying out the mechanical, public health and electrical services installation and commissioning works.
